Karen Kay Dotson, age 73, of Paducah passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her residence.
Karen was a member of Oaks Church of God and a homemaker. Karen was a military spouse and was able to travel many places in the United States including two tours to Germany.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Dodson (Steve) of Reidland, KY; one son, John T. Dotson II and wife, Cynthia, of PA ; 12 grandchildren, Ashley Dotson, Heather Dotson, Cynthia Dotson, Angela Dotson, Desiray Dotson, Sarah East, Sam Dotson, Jr., Liam Dotson, Kayla Davidson, Nicole Dotson, Jonathan Dotson and Amanda Dotson; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death was her husband, John Thomas Dotson; her parents, John Samuel Allmon and Estelle Speakman Allmon; one son, Samuel C. Dotson; one sister, Doris Jean Estes and one brother, Loy Kenneth Allmon.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
