With the NWS predicting extreme drops in temperatures and added wind chills well below zero, coupled with possible ice and snow, plan ahead now to stay warm.
The Joe Creason building in Benton will be open as a warming center so if you need a place to go to stay warm get there before the weather hits.
If you are reliant on a space heater it may not be able to keep up and could cause fire and/or carbon monoxide hazards.
Try to limit your travel during this event to emergency use only, and while road crews and emergency services will be operating, expect longer response times if help is needed. If travel is necessary bring extra coats, blankets, and water in case you are stuck for an extended time.
