Debbie Kay Hurt Bickerstaff, 61, of Gilbertsville, formerly of Ballard, County, passed away on November 15, 2022 at the Ray & Kay Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Debbie was born on March 9, 1961 in Cairo, Illinois to the late Billy Marvin and Vivian Riggins Hurt.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Debbie was an extremely hard-working person and dedicated to her career.  She worked for many years for Delta Drugs in Cairo as a Procurement Liaison before continuing her career with AmerisourceBergen.  Debbie enjoyed watching sports in her free time.  While her favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcats, she loved watching her grandchildren play sports more than anything else.  Debbie will be remembered as the most loving wife, mother and “Nawney” by her grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ray Clifton Bickerstaff of Gilbertsville; one daughter, Crystal (Jason) Bruer of Cunningham; son, Ray (Megan) Bickerstaff Jr. of Paducah; four brothers, Billy (Cathy) Hurt Jr. of Wickliffe, Kevin Hurt of Wickliffe, Tim Hurt of Port Arnasas, Texas and Michael (Bobbie) Hurt of Paducah; five grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah and Eden Bruer and Emma and Rhealynn Bickerstaff; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, “Champers”.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Bro. Gaylon Bruer officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethlehem Church Cemetery in Wickliffe.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
