James B. Taylor, 75 of Grand Rivers, KY died on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his residence.
He retired as a tandem truck driver for Jim Smith Contracting. He also worked as a driller for the corps of engineers and was a commercial fisherman. He loved to go fishing and hunting with his family.
Born Thursday, October 2, 1947, in Paducah, KY, he was the son of the late James Taylor and the late Julia (Cruse) Koon. He was the husband of Janice Chittenden Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice (Chittenden) Taylor of Grand Rivers, KY; sons, Allen Taylor wife, Tammy of Grand Rivers, KY, Boyce Taylor wife, Tabitha of Grand Rivers, KY; bonus son, Rondale Lynch wife, Gaye of Grand Rivers, KY; step daughter, Melissa Ann Dufay of Eddyville, KY; three sisters; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Taylor; mother and step father, Frankie and Julia Koon; three brothers; and 3 sisters.
A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with Bro. Jimmy Jones officiating.
Interment will follow in Taylor Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home.
