Sue Burgess, age 70, of Arlington, formerly of Hickman County, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
Sue was born in Clinton on June 30, 1952 to the late Melvin and Alice Adams Jackson. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Sue was a huge Elvis fan and loved to go to auctions to add Elvis memorabilia to her collection. She loved animals and her pride and joy was her dog, Little Bit. Sue also enjoyed spending her free time working in her yard and tending to her flowers.
Sue is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gene Burgess of Arlington; two sisters, Dolly (Ray) Johnson of Florida and Brenda (Billy) Early of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Danny (Shirley) Jackson of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Gardner and Nancy Clemons; one infant brother and another brother, Claude Jackson; and her parents.
Funeral services for Sue will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. Kevin Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Clinton.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the funeral home.
