Emma Jeanne King, age 92, of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly Tennessee.
Emma was born on March, 13, 1930 in Arlington, Kentucky to the late Taply Van and Emma May Reno Goin. She was a homemaker and she loved listening to country/western music and Elvis and she was an avid reader. She was loved by everyone that knew her and she will be remembered by her family as the sweetest and kindest mother. She attended Waverly First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill King Dreaden (Joseph) of Waverly, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Julie Schanno and Jacob Dreaden; and one great-grandchild, Madison Dreaden.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.H. “Scratcher” King; two sisters, Elizabeth Hocker and Lola Lindsey; and three brothers, Van Goin, Thomas Lee Goin and Charles Goin.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Arlington Cemetery with Bro. David Sphinx officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
