Mr. John F. McClung, age 72, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, a retired employee of Ingersoll Rand and a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. McClung is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ruth Carter McClung; one daughter, Casta (O.J.) Lancaster of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Ronald (Mary) McClung of Farmington, KY; one sister, Penny (John) Jonke of Barberton, OH; six grandchildren, Husten and Karter Lancaster and Rosemary, Patrick, Robert and Joseph Halvorson; and a special niece and nephew, Jamie Thomas and Aaron McClung.
He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Michael Carter and his parents, Warren and Virginia Warner McClung.
Memorial services for Mr. John F. McClung will be 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Mark Wilhoite and Rev. Brad Morris will officiate.
There is no visitation scheduled. Friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
