James Day Murray, 74 of Benton Kentucky, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2022 at his place of residence.
James was born to the late Ray and Jane Murray in Louisville, Kentucky on December 20, 1947. He retired as a supervisor from Philip Morris Tobacco company. After retirement, James moved to Benton to enjoy his retirement with a slower paced lifestyle and leisurely fishing.
He is survived by a son, Justin Murray of Louisville, Kentucky; two daughters, Lisa Zaloudek and Vikki Simpson, both of Louisville, Kentucky; sister, Marilyn Haynes; brother, Michael Murray; long time companion, Betty Shelton of Benton, Kentucky and eight grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his wife of thirty three years, Donna Murray and his parents.
