PRESS RELEASE

The Benton branch of the Marshall County Public Library will get in the Halloween spirit this year by hosting a Spooky Story Walk for children of all ages from Saturday, October 22 to Monday, October 31.

Similar to the library’s Haunted House walk-through last year, the library’s Spooky Story Walk will give families the opportunity to walk through scenes from several different spooky stories for children.

“We had such a great response from patrons last year that came out to our event,” said Benton Branch Manager Lenisa Jones. “We felt like we had to keep that tradition going again this year, plus our Benton staff love working together and coming up with ideas to do for this. This one will be a little different since we are concentrating on spooky stories, but it is still going to offer something fun to come out and enjoy.”

The Spooky Story Walk will be open a full week before Halloween, including two Saturdays, for families to come in and enjoy during the library’s normal operating hours (Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). For more information, call the library at (270) 527-9969.
