Dr. Kenneth Ford representing the Calvert City Gun Club won High Overall at the preliminary 4×50 event at the World Skeet Championships in San Antonio, Texas at the National Shooting Complex last week. Shooters from all over the world participated including New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Ford broke 49/50 in the 12g, 50/50 in the 20g, 48/50 in the 28g and 50/50 in the 410. His cumulative score of 197/200 just edged out Hall of Fame shooter Sam Armstrong of Maryland who had 196/200 for the High Overall Event.
The championship runs from September 30 through October 7.
