Johanna Maddox, 61 of Benton, KY died on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Monday, March 6, 1961 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Reginal Reed Scillion and the late Patsy Jean (Thompson) Scillion.
She was an employee of the Marshall County Hospital where she worked in the scheduling and admissions department and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Johanna loved to read, grow flowers and vegetables and work on home projects. Her favorite people were her husband, family and her favorite place was home.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Barry Maddox of Benton, KY; sons, Justin Kent Maddox wife Alicia of Benton, KY, Devin Reed Maddox wife Brittany of Benton, KY; sisters, Darla Dillon husband Mike of Benton, KY, Dana Swift husband Jeff of Paducah, KY; mother and father in law, Margaret and Wavel Maddox of Benton, KY; and grandchildren, Jessie Lynne Maddox and River Reed Maddox.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patsy Diane Scillion.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating.
A private burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home.
