Donald “Nelson” Cossey, 72 of Benton, Kentucky died on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Born Thursday, August 3, 1950, he was the son of the late Ander Elvis Cossey.
He was of the Baptist faith and retired after 30 years from Vulcan Materials.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wanda “Faye” Cossey of Benton, KY; sons, Brad Burkeen wife Faith of Benton, KY, Dusty Burkeen wife Karen of Murray, KY; sister, Pat Hammond of Trigg Co., KY; grandchildren, Paige Burkeen, Bradley Burkeen, Michaela Burkeen, Mackenzi Burkeen, Tiffany Miller, Toree McMain, Tristan Holland; niece, Tera Litchfield; nephew, Matt Hammond; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and brothers, Larry Cossey and Ricky Cossey.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Benton Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
Collier Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be handling all arrangements.
