Hazel Lucille Powell Henson, 86, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Hazel was born on October 16, 1935 to the late Lloyd and Nettie Collins Nimmo.
After many years of working she retired from the Ramada Inn as the supervisor of housekeeping. Hazel was a long time member of the Lakeview Baptist Church. She had a great love for Elvis Presley and his music. She also enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. She loved flower gardening and her love for flowers showed in her crafting of wreaths and floral arrangements. She also enjoyed quilting as a pastime.
Hazel is survived by her son, Ricky Powell (Tracy) of Benton; one step daughter, Anna Williams of Gilbertsville; one step son, Larry Powell (Donna) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Jessica Powell and Amanda Powell; two great grandchildren, Livi Young and Gabriel Weathers; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Henson; her first husband, Robert Powell, Jr., several brothers and sisters; and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Walker officiating.
