Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

On September 11th, 2022, at approximately 3:00pm, A Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Oaks Rd. near Lydon Rd. The vehicle was a 1998 Mazda passenger car driven by 60-year-old Roy W. Hayes of Grand Rivers, KY.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Hayes was in possession a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and other items related to Drug Paraphernalia.

Hayes was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail where he was lodged.

Arrested: Roy W. Hayes, 60 of Grand Rivers, KY

Charges:

  • Careless Driving
  • Improper or No Turn Signal
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Cont. Sub. 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
