Traffic Stop Nets Drug Trafficking Arrest

On September 10^th, 2022, at approximately 5:00pm, A Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 68 near Tyree Rd. The vehicle was a 2000 Chevy pick-up truck driven by 44-year-old Julie A. Driver of Calvert City, KY.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Driver had concealed a quantity of illegal drugs on her person. Driver was in possession of approximately 13.0 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine that was separated in numerous plastic bags, US Currency, other and items related to Drug Paraphernalia.

It was also learned and confirmed that Driver has a suspended operator’s license and is legally prohibited from operating a vehicle on the roadway.

Driver was arrested and transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail where she was lodged.

Arrested: Julie A. Driver, 44 of Calvert City, KY

Charges:

• Operating on a Suspended Operator’s License
• Failure to Produce Insurance Card
• Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Trafficking in a Cont. Sub. 1^st Degree > or = 2gs(Methamphetamine)
