Juanita Ford West, 97, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Juanita was born on August 28, 1925 in Benton, Kentucky to the late George Ford and Ruby Young Ford. Earlier in life Juanita spent many years working at the Benton Cigar Factory where she still cherished many of the memories and friendships that she made during her years at the factory. She was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Benton. She was a homemaker for most of her years and loved spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Jerry West (Kaye) of Hardin, Kentucky and Joe “Hushpuppy” West (Cathy) of Benton, Kentucky; one brother, Herman Ford; seven grandchildren, Brad West, Julie Richardson, Billy Kniffen, Jennifer York, Jeff West, Brien West and JoBeth Wallace; six great grandchildren, Brogan Dockery, McKenzie Riley, Maci West, Douglas Wallace, Chris Wallace, and Conner Jones; three great great grandchildren, Carter Dockery, Kolt Wallace, and Lincoln Wallace; and one great great grandchild, “Baby Dockery” on the way.

Juanita was preceded in death by husband James West; parents, George and Ruby Young Ford; three sisters, Dorthy Cox, Shirley Jackson, and Claudine Penny; seven brothers, Randolph Ford, Gene Ford, Albert Lee Ford, Namon Ford, Rossie Ford, Don Ford, Woodrow Ford; one grandson, Bronson West; and one daughter in law, Carole West.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022 Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2022 Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home with Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery.
