Joe P. Cole, 79, of Paducah, formerly of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Joe was born in Hickman, Kentucky on February 9, 1943. He was a proud American and always flew the flag in his yard wherever he lived. Joe was a master gardener and member of the Clinton Rotary Club for many years. He surpassed his 50 year mark as a Mason with the Hickman Lodge #131. Joe retired from Kentucky Utilities and went on to own his own business, Joe P. Cole Company, for 20 years. He loved the Lord and attended Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy B. Cole of Paducah; one daughter, Melanie Cole Blalock of Mayfield; one sister, Judy Lee Willett (Tom) of Mayfield; two grandchildren, Gracie and Trent Stairs; a niece and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Donald Cole and Anna Lynn King Cole.
A funeral service for Joe will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Columbus Cemetery in Hickman County.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
