
On Sunday morning August 21st, at approximately 4AM, Graves County Sheriff’s deputies, Kentucky State Police, and ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) served a search warrant at a residence located on the Calloway-Graves County line, located at the dead end of Burnett’s Chapel Road.
The resident there was identified as being 46-year-old Jason A. Wood. Wood is a convicted felon and has a previous conviction for illegally possessing firearms, and a felony drug conviction.
A search of his residence yielded thousands of rounds of ammunition, (22) long guns (rifles and shotguns) many of which were loaded, and (12) twelve pistols, all of which were loaded.
In addition, investigators seized approximately one-half ounce of crystal Methamphetamine, electronic scales used to weigh the drug, approximately (15) ounces of processed Marijuana, dosage units of the designer drug Ecstasy, Xanax, Methamphetamine smoking pipes and other related items. Over $14,000 dollars in US Currency was also seized as evidence in this case.

Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Wood was arrested and transported to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office and later to an out of county jail facility.

RE: DUI-Drug Arrest
On Saturday evening (08-20-22) at approximately 7 PM, sheriff’s deputies were given a call concerning a man reportedly passed out in a vehicle near the intersection of Ory Lane and Burnett Chapel Road.
When a sheriff’s deputy and state trooper arrived on scene, they found the suspect slumped over the steering wheel with the engine running.
He was subsequently arrested and a search of him and his vehicle was conducted. Three firearms were located inside the vehicle, as well as controlled substances, including Hydrocodone, Xanax, Clonazepan, and Tadialil.
The suspect is a convicted felon and legally cannot possess any firearms.

Hoskins was transported to an out of county jail facility.
