Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

On August 20th, 2022, at approximately 1:30pm, A Deputy with the
McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Old
Mayfield Rd. near Bleich Rd. The vehicle was a 2003 Honda Motorcycle
driven by 48-year-old Jesse A. Hammonds of Mayfield, KY.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Hammonds was in
possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and other items
related to Drug Paraphernalia.

Hammonds was arrested and transported to the McCracken County
Regional Jail where he was lodged.

Arrested: Jesse A. Hammonds, 48 of Mayfield, KY

Charges:

* No Tail Lamps
* Improper Display of Registration Plates
* Failure to Maintain Insurance
* Failure to Produce Insurance Card
* Operating on Expired Operator’s License
* Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
* Possession of Cont. Sub. 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
