On Sunday, 7.31.22, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by the Kentucky State Police regarding the recovery of a vehicle on KY Hwy 307, near the Carlisle County/Graves County line. Following up on the information, deputies quickly determined that a storage building on Clarkline Road had been burglarized and a 1965 Ford Mustang had been stolen.
On Monday, 8.1.22, 61 year old Dennis Wilcox of Mayfield, Kentucky, was taken into custody by members of the Kentucky State Police and Carlisle County Sheriff’s Department near where the vehicle had been recovered.
Wilcox was subsequently interviewed and admitted to law enforcement his involvement in the burglary and theft. Wilcox was subsequently charged with criminal offenses in McCracken County.

Burglary 3rd Degree – class D felony
Theft by Unlawful Taking o/$10,000 – Auto – class c felony
