Debra Donelson Lee, 61, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes.
Debra was a member of Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Writers Association. She was a published author in which she wrote children’s books, poems and songs. Debra loved children and children loved her. She loved to enjoy life and was always on the go. She always made you laugh.
Debra is survived by her daughter, Uliscia Donelson (Willie Swope) of Paducah; two grandchildren, Donve’l Swope and Uriah Swope; a bonus granddaughter, Laila Swope; five sisters, Emma Louise Freeman of Paducah, Vivian Ann Ridgeway of Paducah, Willie Mae Freeman of Paducah, Arlene Reed of Paducah and Nancy Williams of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers, Hollis Freeman of Paducah and Javarro Freeman of Paducah; and she was cherished by all of her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Anna Rose McKinney and Beverly Kay Freeman; two brothers, Charlie Freeman Jr. and Larry Frances Freeman. Her parents were, Charlie and Mary Frances Jackson Freeman.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Greater Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred Anderson officiating. Fellowship and dinner will follow the service.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until the service hour of 3:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.
