
Born Sunday, May 21, 1944 in Crittenden Co., KY, he was the son of the late Randolph Croft and the late Burnice Watson of Salem.
He was a retired over the road truck driver for over 50 years and was also known as the Whiskey Man. He then drove local for WastePath and Nelson Trucking. He was a member of Briensburg-T.L. Jefferson Masonic lodge #401 and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his family and camping, where he was known as the grill master.
His life began when he married Johnnie in 1992. They became a blended family which included the Bohannon family who welcomed him as a beloved brother, the late H.B, the late Sissie, the late Martha, Debbie, Gary and Rita.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Johnnie Hunt Croft; sisters, Diane Jones husband Steve, Judy Willbanks, Lucille Fraley husband Ricky, Aunt/Sister Brenda Marshall husband Bill; sons, Terry Hunt wife Kathy, Michael Hunt wife Marcia; daughter, Tammy Hunter husband Stoney; grandchildren, Michaela Walker husband Brandon, Matthew Hunt, Jordan Duncan, Morgan Tinsley husband Jeffrey, Andrew Stallons, Adam Hunter wife Deb, Greg Stone, Sandy Hewson, Brian Brantley wife Robyn; and great grandchildren, Jaiden, Knox, Charlie, Braylynn, Wesley, Audrey, Owen, Lyla, Lucy, Addison and Canyon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, J.L. and Wilma Bohannon; and daughter, Michelle Stokes.
A Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating. Masonic Rites will begin at 4:00 PM with the service to start immediately after.
Interment will follow in Everett Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home.
