Born Saturday, April 19, 1941 in Dexter, KY, he was the son of the late Raymond Thorn, Sr. and the late Thelma (Byers) Thorn.
He retired as a union equipment operator for the IUOE Local #181. He enjoyed gardening, tractors and C.B. radios.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Johnston) Thorn of Benton, KY; daughters, Tammy Bailey husband Mark of Calvert City, KY, Tina Champion husband Shannon of Orlando, FL; brother, Raymond Thorn, Jr. of Kirksey, KY; grandchildren Jeffrey Bailey (Danielle), Amanda Bailey, Eric Champion (Kristie); and great grandchildren, Kyleigh Champion and Addison Champion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Thorn; and sister, Judy Darnall.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. Brett Miles officiating.
Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Collier Funeral Home.
