Mrs. Mary Evelyn Cassity, 84 of Benton, Kentucky, the Aurora community died Wednesday, April 27th, 2022 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
A native of the Aurora community, Mrs. Cassity was the daughter of the late Oliver Clyde and Vena Pearl (Ni
mmo) Jones. She was a 1955 graduate of Hardin High School and attended Draughon’s Business Colliege. Mrs. Cassity was a home maker, a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church and attended Ferguson Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. David (Lisa) Cassity of Benton, Kentucky, and Mark Cassity of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Fran Beale of Benton, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, William (Abbie) Cassity and Julie (Aaron) Clayton.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cassity was preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Cassity.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Friday, April 29th, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, Kentucky, with Bro. Jeremy Hudgin officiating. Interment will follow in Ferguson Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Friday, April 29th, 2022 at the funeral home.
