
A lengthy investigation including undercover drug purchases has led to the arrest of 66 year old Ava Nell Davis of Mayfield.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Office has for a period of time been receiving information and complaints that Davis was trafficking in a variety of drugs, including prescription controlled substances.
The investigation culminated this afternoon at approximately 3:00PM, when sheriff’s detectives and the Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at Davis’s home located in the 400 block of Ky State Route 1241.
During the search, multiple dosage units of Lortab, Gabapentin, and Suboxone strips and pills were located and seized. The investigation revealed that Davis was also accepting food stamps as payment for the drugs, and 15 food stamp cards were seized. Over $7,000 dollars in US Currency was seized as it is suspected to be proceeds of illegal drug sales and some counterfeit bills as well. A loaded handgun was recovered and seized.

Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree
Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree
Fraudulently Use/Possess Government Benefit Card
Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument
Prescription Controlled Substance not in proper container.
Davis was transported and lodged at the Ballard County Kentucky Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
