A Paducah man was arrested on drug trafficking and counterfeit charges

Suspect(s): Jonté Hensley, 23, of Paducah, arrested on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree criminal possession of forged instrument.
A Paducah man was arrested on drug trafficking and counterfeit charges after a caller reported seeing a man smoking marijuana.
Paducah Police responded to the riverfront at the foot of Broadway early Thursday morning for a call of a suspicious vehicle. When Officer Tyler Bradley approached Jonté Hensley, he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of Hensley’s vehicle produced a bag with a large quantity of marijuana, a container with suspected methamphetamine, and several items of drug paraphernalia. Hensley also had, on his person, three counterfeit $100 bills.
Hensley was arrested on the above-listed charges and booked into the McCracken County Jail.
