Marshall County High School Technical Center and FFA Leadership Team members along with teachers Jourdan Palmeri and Alan Smith held a ribbon cutting on Monday to celebrate the opening of their new greenhouse.
“A big thank you to our current Board of Education for approving this to be built within the renovation for the Tech Center”, said Palmeri. “Brian Harper and Patricia Greer have both been really big advocates for this new facility and helped to get the ball rolling for it to push forward. Mr. Harper has been very supportive of the greenhouse, always checking on us, seeing what we need, how things are going and has definitely been really instrumental in making sure that everything went well with the construction of the building.”
Palmeri thanked the students and parents of the two greenhouse classes that have been working to get the greenhouse ready as well as the community for their support.
The public sale starts the Monday after Spring Break each year which is today, April 11 and will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:00 daily. Palmeri said if those times are not good, call or email her for an appointment. Cash and checks accepted.
