PADUCAH, Ky. (April 8, 2022) – Paducah 911 Dispatch reports the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge from Illinois into Kentucky are blocked by a crash involving two SEMI trucks.
Both eastbound lanes are blocked at this time.
Estimated duration is 2 hours or approximately 11 a.m., CDT.
Both westbound lanes of I-24 are open.
Eastbound detour for passenger vehicles is via U.S. 45 and the Brookport Bridge.
As a reminder, commercial trucks are not allowed on the Brookport Bridge due to a 15-ton load limit, a 9 ft-6 inch height restriction, and an 8 ft. maximum width restriction.
