On Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Calloway County E911 Communications Center received numerous calls reporting a two vehicle injury collision at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Radio Road. Calloway County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and located two vehicles with significant damage off the roadway near the intersection.
Preliminary investigation has indicated prior to the collision Amanda Dunn was eastbound on Roosevelt Road in a red Kia passenger car and Gary Cooper was southbound on Radio Road in a blue Astrovan. For an unknown reason, Dunn failed to yield the right of way to Cooper as she attempted to cross the intersection.
Travis D. Dunn, age 32, of Murray, Kentucky was transported by Murray-Calloway County Emergency Medical Services to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of serious injuries received during the collision. Amanda M. Dunn, age 38, of Murray, Kentucky and Ashley N. Cooper, age 27, of Benton, Kentucky were transported by Murray-Calloway County Emergency Medical Services to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries received during the collision.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted on scene by Calloway County Fire-Rescue.
