Marshall County Anglers earn top spots in recent tournaments

Ian Kidd holds the four fish that earned him third place at Saturday’s Spring Fling on Kentucky Lake.

The Marshall County Anglers hosted the Spring Fling tournament on Saturday out of Moors Marina. A total weight of 231.83 was caught among 69 teams in the tournament.

The top two teams came from Muhlenberg County. First place went to Brock Vincent and Dade Vincent who caught a five-fish limit that weighed in at 15.08. Christian Heltsley and Isaiah Smith finished second with five fish weighing in at 14.02.

Marshall County’s Ian Kidd took third with a four fish weight of 13.09. Cole Hamby and Lawson Morris also secured a top 10 placing 10th with a three fish weight of 9.01.

Here’s how the rest of the team placed:
14th – Preston Futrell and Jack Thompson, 3 fish/6.10
15th – Gannon Gordon, Carter Beliles and Blake Robinson, 3 fish/6.05
20th – Maxson Mitchell and Hayden Gray, 2 fish/5.03
31st – Drake Fooshee and Carson Lovett, 1 fish/2.08
33rd – Ty Redden and Trevor Minton, 1 fish/2.07
34th – Kody Ringstaff and Ryan Holland, 1 fish/2.05
35th – Zach Henley and Dylan Robinson, 1 fish/2.03

On December 4, the team was among 30 teams in the SAF Tournament out of Kentucky Dam Marina and two Marshall County teams took the top two spots. Hayden Gray and Maxon Mitchell took the win with three fish weighing 9.13. Second went to Ethan Riley and Thomas Harlan with a three fish weight of 8.15. The Biggest Fish of the tournament was caught by Hayden Gray weighing in at 4.14.

The next tournament will take place on April 23 when Marshall County hosts the Barkley Lake Showdown.
