He was born on October 7, 1963, to Donald and Patsie Henson. He was the third of four boys.
He will be remembered as a man who lived by his own rules, but he built a life enforcing the rules with others. He loved being a referee, and he excelled at it. He was a collegiate basketball ref and softball umpire. He also worked state tournaments in those sports. He also had the best seats in the house when officiating football games.
As much as he loved sports, nothing gave him more joy than his sons.
Kerry is survived by son, Corey Henson and girlfriend Angel of Benton, KY; his son Blake Henson and girlfriend Courtney of Benton, KY. His legacy also lives on through some of his favorite people in the whole world, his grandchildren; Chaney Green, Kynlee Henson, Jace Henson, Matteo Henson, Brylee Nanney, Cayden Henson, Cuban Henson and Carson Henson. He is also survived by his mother, Patsie Henson, and his brothers Mitch and Craig Henson.
He is preceded in death by his brother Larry Henson, son Dustin Henson and father, Donald Henson.
Kerry loved people, especially kids. He always had a joke ready for a kid and always ready to help his nieces, nephews and grandchildren scheme against their parents.
We are comforted in knowing he’s now with his oldest brother and son, both of which he did not get nearly enough time with. And our hearts are also filled knowing he is back together with his daddy.
