Re: Numerous weekend drug arrests
3/12/2022 (Saturday)
906 E College St, Mayfield KY
On Saturday March 12th at 9:00am Sgt Richard Edwards responded to the above address to serve a warrant of arrest for Misty Svoboda. While inside the residence Sgt Edwards observed Methamphetamine. A search warrant was obtained. A search of the residence yielded a quantity of Methamphetamine, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Along with Svoboda, Michael Hendley was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, Methamphetamine. Mayfield Police Department assisted in this investigation.

506 N 17th Street, Mayfield KY
On Sunday March 13th 2022 at 04:00pm Sgt Richard Edwards, Deputy Larry Jones and Deputy Tyler Crane responded to above address in an attempt to serve on arrest warrants on Dustin D. Blake for Violation of a Ky EPO/DVO, and two Failure to Appear in Court.
Upon arrival deputies learned that Michael S. Hunter, who was inside the home also had an outstanding warrant. An investigation into the whereabouts of Blake indicated that he was hiding inside the home. Deputy Jones and Sgt Edwards made entry into the front of the home. Deputy Crane made entry into the rear of the home and located Blake hiding in the kitchen underneath a pile of blankets.
While Blake was being detained, Deputy Jones with the assistance of MPD located Brent Mayfield hiding in closet in the back of the residence. Brent Mayfield as also wanted on outstanding warrants. While securing those thus far arrested, Sgt Richard Edwards observed multiple Methamphetamine smoking pipes in plain view. All occupants of the home were detained and a search warrant was secured. A search of the home yielded a quantity of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. All occupants were charged with PCS 1st Methamphetamine. Blake, Hunter, and Mayfield were served on outstanding warrants. Mayfield Police department assisted GCSO during this event. An animal left behind in the residence was transported by AC1 to receive care.

Warrants for Violation of Ky EPO/DVO, and 2 Counts of Failure to Appear.
He was transported and lodged at the Christian County Jail.
Arrested: Hunter, Michael S. age 32
Of Hickory, Ky
Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine
Arrest Warrant charging him with Assault
He was transported and lodged at the Christian County Jail.
Arrested: Todd, Penny E. age 50
Of Mayfield, Ky
Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine
She was transported and lodged at the Christian County Jail.
