On 02/27/22, Officer Darnell was dispatched to Little General, in reference to a suspicious person in a vehicle, who had been parked there for several hours. Officer Darnell located the subject, who was asleep behind the wheel. As a result of the investigation, Officer Darnell located drugs inside the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Paul Pulley, was placed under arrest. Paul W. Pulley, 49 of Hickory, was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Deg, 1st Off (Methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Off (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Controlled Substance 1st Off. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

On 03/6/22, Officer K. Cole and J. Darnell, served an arrest warrant on Jeremy Varner. After Varner was placed into custody, Officer Cole located a baggie of methamphetamine in Varner’s pocket. He also found drug paraphernalia, inside the residence. Jeremy R. Varner, 44 of Hardin, was placed under arrest and charged with the arrest warrant, as well as additional charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
On 03/9/22, Officer T. Coursey was dispatched to Walmart, in reference to a subject who was outside of the store, threatening to assault people. Employees stated that the male suspect, Joshua Culp, was harassing customers, and trying to get into people’s vehicles. Officer Coursey located Culp, who was running back and forth on the sidewalk, with his shirt off. As a result of the investigation, Culp was placed under arrest. Joshua W. Culp, 42, of Benton, was charged with Public Intoxication (excludes alcohol) and Disorderly Conduct 2nd degree. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
