On 03/10/2022 at around 08:00, Sgt. Caleb Curtner received a complaint of suspicious activity

 at an address on West 10th Street. The complaint was that there were several subjects burning something, that caused a small explosion. One of the subjects involved was identified as Michael Cash. Upon checking the license plate of the vehicle that Cash was operating, it was discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen, out of Paducah. Cash, also had an active felony warrant, out of Graves County. Michael B. Cash, 36, of Benton, was placed under arrest and charged with the following:
Receiving Stolen Property $1,000 < $10,000, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Graves County warrant was for the charges of: Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st, 2nd or > (2GMs Methamphetamine), Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd (on foot), Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator License, Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 oz) 1st off, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree (drug unspecified), Possession Drug Paraphernalia. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven in court.
