Ronnie Joe Hogancamp, 67, of Bardwell, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Ronnie Joe was born in Bardwell on February 15, 1955 to the late Joe and Eleanor Jones Hogancamp. He was a member of Mississippi Baptist Church. Ronnie Joe was a very skilled carpenter and was a member of the Local 357 Carpenters Union. When he wasn’t working, he loved to be outdoors hunting or fishing with family and friends. Ronnie Joe never met a stranger and loved to socialize and conversate with friends, especially in the mornings down at Carol’s Restaurant in Bardwell. He was the most loving and supporting grandfather and would frequently attend his grandchildren’s sporting events as a vocal fan.
Ronnie Joe is survived by his beloved fiancé, Penny Page Gates of Bardwell; one son, Joe Ben (Brooke) Hogancamp of Bardwell; one daughter, Ginger Hogancamp of Paducah; a step-son, Andrew (Amber) Gates of Paducah; one sister, Dorothy (Blanton) Evans of Bardwell; seven grandchildren, Macee Hogancamp, Lyndee Hogancamp, Aubree Hogancamp, Aydan Hogancamp, Andrea Holt, Avery Gates and Anderson Gates; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Jo Hogancamp; one sister, June Hinkle; great-nephew, Adam Garnett; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Shawn Redford and Bro. Shane Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, and from 12:00 pm until the service time of 1:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
