
Skylar Waller’s assist to Jada Driver for a lay in opened the game and the Lady Marshals were off and running in their 66-22 district win over Murray on Senior Night. Driver finished with 25 points, 23 coming in the first half which included five 3-pointers.
Driver’s 13 points in the first quarter led the Lady Marshals to a 21-4 lead. Three straight 3-pointers from Driver, Waller and Halle Langhi to open the second quarter followed by another basket by Waller capped off a 20-0 run and a 32-4 lead. Murray stopped the run with a 3-pointer from Jade Oakley.
Leading 42-11 to start the second half, the Lady Marshals held Murray to five points in the third quarter and the lead grew by 14 behind a six-point quarter from Waller to stretch it out to 40 points at 56-16 to close out the third. They out-scored Murray 10-6 in fourth quarter to finish out the 44-point win.
The Lady Marshals improve to 4-0 in the 4th District and will look to go 5-0 when they play at Christian Fellowship on Thursday.
