He was a loyal, hardworking and loving son, father, grandfather and friend. He was a deacon and lifelong member of Union Hill Church of Christ.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 68 years Patsie (Thweatt) Henson of Benton, KY; his son and wife, Mitch and Gwen Henson of Tampa, FL; his son Kerry Henson of Benton, KY; his son and wife Craig and Tiffany Henson of Benton, KY. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren; Heather Henson, Chad Henson and his wife Nichole, Evan Henson and his wife Denise, Jennifer Henson and her husband Stephen, Aaron Henson, Corey Henson, Blake Henson, Destiny Sauders, Kealey Henson, Emily Henson, Brailey Henson and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his three sisters and four brothers, son Larry Don Henson and grandson Dustin Henson.
Granddaddy’s smile was constant and warm. His unwavering faith in God was his foundation. He lived his whole life looking forward to Heaven and we are comforted to know he has reached his goal.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 6, 2022 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Don McBrayer will officiate with burial to follow in the Edwards Cemetery. Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Collier Funeral Home.
