Born Tuesday, January 27, 1948 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late William L. York and the late Margaret (Darnall) York. She was the wife of the late Perry Watkins.
She retired from the dietary department at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton, KY and was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church in Benton, KY.
Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Smith husband Darren of Benton, KY, sisters, Patricia Waddell husband James of Hardin, KY, grandchildren, Allison Smith of Memphis, TN, and Evan Smith of Bowling Green, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Russell York and sister, Peggy Boddy.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the New Zion Cemetery, 2796 Wadesboro Rd. South Benton, KY with Rev. Mike Littrell officiating.
Interment will follow the service.
There will be no public visitation.
