Barbara Josephine Grafenstine Hawthorne, 75, of Paducah, formerly of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at her home.
Barbara was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1946 to the late Thomas E. and Josephine Grafenstine. She was of the Catholic faith. Barbara was a social person who loved to surround herself with family and friends. One of her favorite things to do was to go out and dance. She worked for many years as an Insurance Clerk with Wal Mart Distribution in Cullman, Alabama. She will be remembered as being a woman who devoted herself to her family. Barbara was the most loving wife, mother and grandmother and would doing anything for those most precious in her life.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Hawthorne; daughter, Kelly (David) Minor of Paducah; son, Jim (Lauren) Hawthorne of Budd Lake, New Jersey; one brother, Ed Grafenstine of Burlington, New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Meredith (Sam) Wilson, Morgan (Ian) Charles, Julia Adams, Grace Tankersley, Ava Minor, Jake Hawthorne and Samantha Hawthorne; and four great-grandchildren, Knox Wilson, Ella Wilson, Poppy Wilson and Reagen Charles.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Chestor and Joseph Grafenstine; and her parents.
