Dave Berndt, long-time volunteer at Marcella’s Kitchen in Benton joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Marcella’s has been serving meals now for more than 10 years, with over 39,000 meals served in the first nine months of this year. Berndt says right now they are preparing 100 boxes for home-bound individuals to be handed out during the upcoming 2-week period when Marcella’s will be closed. Each box will contain 28 meals plus snacks. And delivery drivers are always needed. Call Gerald Jones at 270-354-8114.
