My goal as commissioner is to work with fellow members of the court to promote growth within Marshall County. I am not and will never be a yes man for any faction. I am proud to have been called hard headed and thick skinned. My hope is that work that I am involved in will improve the lives and livelihoods of the citizens on Marshall County, that is where governmental service must be grounded. Being a good steward of taxpayer money and making sure that the most benefit from those investments come back to the people is something that I will strive for.
Government at any level cannot be run under the assumption that it has bottomless pockets. We create a budget at home to make sure that we do not live outside our means and that practice has to have a place in government as well. Prioritizing where taxpayer money is spent is a task that I will not take lightly. Ultimately when elected to this position it is the people that will have hired me to do this job and it is to the people that I will have to answer to for my decisions. A strong grounding in a fiscally conservative mindset will help me lead this county forward.
