Mr. Michael Dale Williams, age 72, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at his residence.
He attended First Baptist Church, was a member of the Red Helmet Club, a member of the Mayfield High School class of 1967 and a lifelong supporter of Mayfield and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a retired employee of General Tire and a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Gail Barclay Williams; one son, Brent Thomas (Michelle) Williams of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Jill (Jeff) Whitaker of Hickory, KY and Monica Elliott of Mayfield, KY; ten grandchildren, Kaitlyn Elliott, Kirkland Raley, Matthew Whitaker, Kara Sloan, Makayla Whitaker, Mark Whitaker, Maddy Williams, Hunter Williams, Mason Whitaker and Ashley Williams; and his mother-in-law, Eloise Barclay of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L. T. and Dorothy Casey Williams.
Funeral services for Mr. Michael Dale Williams will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Brad Morris will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26.
The Red Helmet Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the funeral home.
