Mr. Major Reese Walker, 75

Mr. Major Reese Walker, age 75 of Benton, KY died on Friday, October 1, 2021, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He worked for KY Dam Marina for 16 years and retired from PSI where he worked in the Electrical Maintenance Department. He was a member of the National TBucket Association where he built 2 TBuckets from the ground up. He was a member of Twin Lakes Worship Center where he was known as the “Candy Man” at church. He never met a stranger and loved everyone.

Born Sunday, February 24, 1946 in Trigg County, KY, he was the son of the late John Lee Walker (Hazel) and the late Betty Pearl (Prescott) Jeffords (Bill).

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Brenda (Rudd) Walker of Benton, KY, son, Shane Darnall, wife Jill of Benton, KY, daughters, Tyna Day, husband Kevin of Cunningham, KY and Mandi Murdock, husband Kyle of Lynn Grove, KY, brother, Jay LeWayne Walker of Schaumburg, IL, sister, Lorri Marie Sills of Gatlinburg, TN, grandchildren, Justin Haynes, Jerrica Cline (Courtney), Josh Haynes (Charlse), Griffin Darnall, Gracelyn Darnall, Luke Murdock, great-grandchildren, Addabelle Richardson, Lane Haynes, Madison Haynes, Elyla “Lucy” Richardson, Lilly Haynes, Archer Haynes, Emerson Haynes, Norah Haynes, and Scarlett Haynes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ritchie Smith, grandchild, Kenzie Murdock, and great-grandchild, Sawyer Haynes.

A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Jeremy Short and Dennis Lawrence officiating.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.

The family requests friends and family drive their Hot Rod/Classic Cars and Motorcycles to the visitation and service.
