KY Lake Paddle Up postponed until October 9

Calvert City, KY – (August 20, 2021) – The KY Lake Paddle Up has been postponed until October 9. This is a family-friendly paddle event in partnership with the City of Calvert City, Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Tennessee RiverLine!

Join us Saturday, October 9 for a paddle on Kentucky Lake! Bring a kayak, canoe, or any other worthy paddle craft for a trip from Sledd Creek to Kentucky Dam Village Boat Ramp.

Check-in at Kentucky Dam Village New Beach Pavilion (closest to the paddle boat ramp) between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM and then head to Sledd Creek to launch. If you can provide your own transportation to Sledd Creek, you are encouraged to do so. However, we will have a shuttle present to take you and your craft to Sledd Creek from Kentucky Dam Village paddle boat ramp. Expect to be on the water for 1.5-2 hours. Lunch will be provided by Buns Out Hot Dog Cart.

For those who do not own a kayak but want to participate, 12 kayaks are available to reserve. Bring your own, or use one of the rentals for this fun-filled event on Kentucky Lake! All paddlers are required to wear a life jacket and know how to swim.

Visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ky-lake-paddle-up-take-2-tickets-167884076793 to reserve your spot! Weather will be closely monitored and if the water is unsafe to paddle the event will be canceled.
