
Eight different players scored goals in the Lady Marshals 10-0 season opening win over Mayfield. The first goal came near the 25 minute point of the first half by sophomore Zoe Maxlow, followed by three more goals by Kelsey Crass, Anna Robertson and Mia Teague for a 4-0 halftime lead.
Six more goals in the second half drew the game to an early end. Second half goals came from Kallen Fuller, Kelsey Crass with her second of the night on a penalty kick and Zoe Maxlow scored her second of the game. The final three goals came from Rylee Thompson, Hanna Holsapple and Kinsley Perry.
Saturday, they travel to Daviess County for two games – the first against Boyle County at 11:00 a.m. The Lady Rebels are 2-0 to start the season after a 6-0 win over East Jessamine and 4-0 over Corbin. Their second game on Saturday at 5:45 will be against Owensboro Catholic, the team that ended the Lady Marshals season last fall in the first round game of the state tournament. The Lady Aces are 1-0 after a 9-0 win over Apollo in their first game of the season.
