Mrs. Margie (Clark) Copeland, 84 of Benton, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Sunday, March 14, 1937 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late James Coleman Clark and the late Opal (Angle) Clark.
She was a hostess for many years at Country Crossroads Restaurant in Hardin, KY also retiring after 20 years of service in dietary department at Herman Ford Marshall Co. Detention Center in Benton, KY. She was of the Baptist faith and was attending Hardin Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Joe Copeland of Benton, KY; daughter, Jennifer Copeland Shaw, husband Michael of Benton, KY; brother, Wayne Clark, wife Judy of Calvert City, KY (Griggstown community); grandchildren, Ali Klarer, Josh Harper, wife Brandy, Erik Copeland and Landon Copeland; great-grandchildren, Ellie Klarer and Katie Harper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar Ray Copeland, who passed away July 4, 1990; by brothers, Jewell Thomas “Tom” Clark and Dillard Clark.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Rev. Rusty Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow the service in Haymes Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
