Edna Earl Combs Hockensmith, 93, of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Baptist Health.
Edna was born on September 30, 1927 in Happy, Kentucky to the late Barnett and Sally Plowman Combs. She enjoyed playing Bingo and taking walks. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Brenda Reese of Paducah, Donna Hockensmith of Sacramento, California; four sons, Steven Hockensmith of Southern California, Gregory Hockensmith of Hopkinsville, Keith Hockensmith of Nabb, Indiana, Kenneth Hockensmith of Folsom, California; one sister, Bess Combs; one brother, Bernard Combs; 11 grandchildren, Nicky Hensgen, Joshua Reese, Jennifer Sanders, Leroy Hockensmith, Tammy Miller, Kim Clymer, Kristy Williams, Elyse Wygant, Stephanie Boots, Sarah Hockensmith, Jenise Stewart and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dana Mills, Orga Fields; seven brothers, Roger Combs, Damon Combs, Adrian Combs, Bufford Combs, Barnett Combs Jr., Oscar Combs, James Combs, and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
