On Monday, August 2nd, 2021 at approximately 12:11 p.m. the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4000 block of Clarks River Road regarding a collision involving a semi-tractor trailer versus a passenger vehicle.
The investigation revealed a 2001 Volvo semi-tractor with an attached flatbed trailer was traveling eastbound on Clarks River Road. The semi-tractor was operated by Frank Holland, 45 years old of Paducah.
A 2006 Ford Taurus was exiting the driveway of a business, crossing both eastbound lanes of travel on Clarks River Road. The two vehicles collided in a broadside manner in the eastbound lane.
All five occupants of the Ford Taurus were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Monica Jewell, 23 years old of LaCenter, was identified as the operator of the vehicle. The passengers were identified as:

Eddie Knight, 44 years old of Eddyville
Alexander Hudson, 14 years old of Marion, KY
Linda Young, 54 years old of Marion, KY

Clarks River Road, in the area of the collision, was closed to vehicular traffic for approximately seven hours to facilitate the collision reconstruction, scene processing and vehicle recovery.

The investigation into the cause of this collision is still on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
