Carolyn Faye Morris Deweese, 86, of Lovelaceville, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Mercy Health Lourdes.
Carolyn was born on March 22, 1935 in Ballard County to the late Harvey and Frances Rye Morris. She was a member of Lovelaceville Baptist Church. Carolyn worked as a nurse’s aide for 17 years at Western Baptist Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her infamous strawberry cake and coconut pie. She also enjoyed camping.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters, Jamie Renee Deweese and Kimberly Dawn Rowan; one brother, Ronnie Morris (Judy); two grandchildren, Bryan Keith Jones, Heather Renee Walker (Dustin) and four great-grandchildren, Kyle Loyd, Natalie Jones, Khloe Walker and Preston Knox Walker, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Chester” Deweese; two brothers, Jimmy Louis Morris, Owen Daniel Morris and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Julian Elliott officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cunningham Memorial Garden.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
