Most everyone enjoys having fresh vegetables, and Master Gardener Barbara Ray says now is a good time to do some planting so you’ll have tomatoes, cucumbers and other vegetables in the fall. Ray was a recent guest on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. And Ray reminds you when you water your plants, turn on your hose and let the hot water that has built up drain first. And she says the best time to water is early morning or in the evening. And on hanging baskets, it’s best to water twice a day.
